Doesnt work well. There are other solutions that are also using proxys, but work much better and for free !

Weblock works, but now it takes ages to load only one page

The app is easy to setup and works very well to block trackers and analytics tools. I warmly recommend this app!!

Generally the app does what its supposed to do. However it is not without its quirks. I have it frequently occurring that entire pages stop loading at all. As completely disabling Weblock and restarting Safari usually clears this condition it can be safely assumed that Weblock is the culprit. I also found embedded Instagram links being blocked with Weblock activated and no particular setting to change this behavior. General setup is easy but the rest of the settings is either not working as expected or inaccessible (see Instagram). Its clear that the approach using a dummy proxy will have unavoidable side effects (BTW: whoever is concerned about that proxy - thats a local setting on your device. No traffic gets routed through someone elses server on the web.) but the lack of control regarding these side effects is occasionally annoying. Last but not least: the German localization is atrocious. Machine translation butchered language frequently bordering unusable nonsense. Hint for developers: Do it right all the way or leave it. Half baked nonsense in a language you do not understand at all isnt a proper localization. For me a very tight 4 star rating as I would give 3.5 if possible. Good basic functionality but lacking in control, fine tuning and UI. Update: More and more websites are broken beyond usability as load times have grown ridiculously long or embedded content doesnt load at all. Most of my news pages are affected by this issue. Whitelist exceptions dont work at all as mentioned before regarding Instagram. As the app cant be turned on and off quickly and doesnt allow global exceptions - i.e. not applying any filtering on a particular host site like most other ad-blocking apps or plug-ins - its become pretty useless. Even reset my devices network settings to default to exclude any individual misconfiguration troubles; didnt help. I dont really care whether its changes to Safari or the affected websites HTML-code but in the current condition the app is a clear case for a one star rating. Way too bothersome to mess around with.

Does what it says, however, Id like to see an update so it works on cellular network.

Takes a little configuration to set up and then works great. Remember you have to enable all the different types of filters you want to use to block items.

It doesnt work anymore with iOS 7.2 on iPhone 4

Please fix version 4.0 to work on ios below 8.0.

This app is effective at filtering across the entire device. No complaints!
